Foot-Printing (Information Gathering) - 

Footprinting is all about gathering information actively or passively. Reviewing the company’s website is an example of passive footprinting, whereas calling the help desk and attempting to social engineering them out of privileged information is an example of active information gathering.

1) Network Foot-Printing - This is the process of collecting information related to a target network. Information like -
